For this reason, I’m going to include some of these considerations in the highlights of each hotel. But remember, the Bahamas is one of the easier-to-reach destinations in the Caribbean for most US travelers, which is a huge plus! It makes the Bahamas an easy long weekend getaway from many cities.
There is much to love in the Bahamas, most notably its absolutely stunning natural setting and friendly residents. But as a person who reads a lot of resort reviews, I’ve noticed that the Bahamas adults-only resorts have less-glowing feedback on the whole versus adults-only all-inclusive resorts in Cabo or Cancun, for example.

Reviews of this resort are a bit mixed, but many guests return again and again. Guests love the pristine white sand beach and private island Sandals Barefoot Cay. In fact, they recommend trying to get in the first shuttle of the day to the private island so you can claim a cabana!

Overall, the setting wins out though: lush landscaping, gorgeous beach and blue sea, excellent scuba diving, and great day trip options including to swim with the famous pigs. Guest feedback on the restaurants is good, but they note that all but two require reservations.
